How many years in prison in NY state law for a man who had sex with a 16 years old girl?

I heard about a case of a man 26 years old who had sex with a girl 16 years old, but she wanted to have sex with him.
How many years he will be in jail?
Hi is in Buffalo, NY prison.
He was never arrested before for anything. How less can be the sentence? I mean, the minimum. I heard from 1 to 15 years in prison.

Depends on his prior record, as well as the Judge or Jury. You did say WILL get in jail, not can. Also doesn't matter what she THINKS she wants, it was Statutory Rape as she couldn't decide she wanted it according to the law. He will register as a sex offender FOR LIFE. So in a way his sentence will go on until the day he dies.
